and larger projects robust. Our clients represent a broad cross-section
of businesses. We are very proud of the relationships we have built,
and we have earned them through listening, learning, and communicating
with our clients. The samples below highlight some of our custom applications.
Most are already integrated into our VM95 software. Contact us to discuss
your unique monitoring needs.

-
North Atlantic Treaty Organization
(NATO)- La Spezia, ITALY - Developed for a specialized military
reconnaissance application. A hardware and software interface was
integrated into the biscuit and VM95, so that zoom, focus and iris
settings can be set programmatically using off-the-shelf 3 motor zoom
lenses. A custom 3"X3". printed circuit board was designed to reside
inside the biscuit unit or camera housing. This board has circuitry
to drive the 3 motors and the feedback pots.
-
US Geological Survey
(USGS)-Santa Cruz, CA - Developed a data extraction solution
for scientific shoreline studies. Software extracts precise x, y pixel
locations at high frame rates. The process is called point extraction.
Additional algorithms will be developed for extracting information
from the images that is relevant to beach and shoreline monitoring
studies. See http://video-monitoring.com/timestack
-
City of Boca Raton,
FL - Developed an application for tourism/promotional interests.
The custom software which is integrated into VM95 has "Rapid FTP Uploading".

Systems- Sydney, AUS - A developer of promotional videos,
The Edge required a special camera to suit their specific lens needs.
EVS designed a stand-alone application to control the Olympus E1 -
SLR Digital Camera with a super wide angle lens.
-
Regional Agency for
Environmental Protection and Prevention in the Veneto (ARPAV) - ITALY
- Integrated 7 solar systems for "avalanche watch" in the Dolomites
to upload using GSM network. All systems were designed to operate
from 50W solar panels.
-
United Nations Environment
Programme (UNEP) Athens, Greece -A dust particle camera was
needed to monitor air quality while the Olympics were under construction.
EVS developed custom software.
-
Institute for Ocean
Technology- Newfoundland, CANADA - Designed extreme low temperature
system for the North Atlantic. System is mounted on a ship and monitors
ice accretion levels. It then uploads data through satellite phone
which was integrated into the biscuit system.
-
Texas Bighorn Society
- Designed custom motion sensor application called "Trailcam" to monitor
endangered species in a wild desert habitat in the mountains of West
Texas. System uploads images and weather data using satellite phone.
Biologists working with the desert bighorns will be able to use these
photos to better understand the habits and biology of these animals,
as well as providing the public with a chance to view these very rare
animals in a truly wild setting. http://video-monitoring.com/wtek/
-
Texas Parks and Wildlife
- Caprock Canyon State Park, TX - Integrated Kiosk for promotional
purposes so visitors can view live images of bison in a remote pen
location. Project goal is to diversify the genetic profile of the
Texas state bison herd. http://agnews.tamu.edu/dailynews/stories/VETM/Nov1904a.htm
-
FEMA and Martin County
Board of County Commissioners - Jensen Beach, FL - Designed
hurricane-proof system able to provide critical data to FEMA so they
can monitor conditions during a hurricane. Part of the customizations
include: a robust backup power system able to operate up to 18 days
from the onset of lost power and a satellite communications backup
system for uploading data. This system functions in multiple roles
providing the county with a promotional tourism webcam, data for shoreline
erosion studies, and the hurricane data system described above.
-
Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science
(RSMAS)- Key Biscayne, FL Integrated 5.8GHz long range wireless
system. Project goal is to describe the currents, residence times,
salinity patterns, and larval transport in a South Florida lagoonal
system.
