Monitoring construction of : Railway bridge duplication and track upgrade.

ARTC is undertaking the construction of a new railway bridge across the Macquarie River at Bathurst NSW adjacent to the existing historic 1870's wrought iron bridge. The old bridge will remain after completion of the project.

A makeshift construction bridge crosses the Macquarie River to accommodate the procedure.

Of Interest the new bridge will be built on the formation of disused bridge abutment and piers constructed In 1912
(the old concrete piers have mostly been demolished so they can be rebuilt)
